The group spend a week in the city of Zimar learning new things and allowing Book to get used to his new awareness. At the end of the week, Temani brings them together and presents each of them with gifts. She also warns them that the consequences of mentioning the cities existance will be swift and dire.
The group then travel back to Tintar, arriving early in the morning of the seventh day. Imediately they start to organise themselves as they have been away from events for quite some while.
They each head into the city on various errands. Storm runs into Sue Mei who states that she thinks that in the Willow clan library there is a map that will aid them. Strom still suspicious of her nevertheless informs Adoni. She also tries to contact Tasha Itune but with no success for she is at court.
Decious is stopped moving round the city by a well meaning trader who comments that there have been a recent increase of attacks on foreigners and outsiders in the city.
Adoni turns to the City Soul Guild and is told that there is a general illness filling the city draining the life force from it.
Wu Chan Li, still coming to terms with his lycanthropy chooses to hide away from his family, remaining at the groups complex.
Kimiko goes to her geisha house and is firmly admonished for the tears in her kimono. Sent away to reflect on her poor management of the garment, she goes to a cafe to meet a friend from another guild who tells her there have been tensions between the bat and fox clan recently despite the marriage of Merenko to the Bat clan Heir. She is also told that the ambassador to Ramadaar is planning a wedding though few details mention who will be wed and to whom. Fereheen is also having more trade talks with Nevestin which is very unusual as they normally never meet.
Returning to the complex the group make plans. While Kimiko will attempt to gather more information from her sources. Storm is to try to contact Tasha Itune again and then they wil patrol the city in the hopes of finding what is attacking the foreigners.
Storm makes it to the oak clan complex to find Tasha is still not there. However her manservant takes her to the court and smuggles her inside. There she meets Tasha who tells her that Patal Shun works two days at court then always takes the third day off. Noone really knows what he does but this is when he spends most of his time in and around the White Swan. Tasha also informs Storm that the next day there will be a great party, hosted by Ramadaar, where all the ambassadors will be. Before she sends Storm away she presents her with an oak leaf token, explaining that if she shows this to anyone of the oak clan then they will contact Tasha to arrange a meeting.
