The group decide that it would be a good idea to talk to their contact in court, Rei Marin. They arrange to meet up with her that evening. As they go to the rendevous Kid starts to act strangely, not wanting them to proceed down the corridor. When he drew his sword and attacked the others. Adoni took drastic measures knocking him out with the aid of Book.
They then realise that there is an argument going on further down the corridor between Iontu and Rei Marin. Iontu seems to be vaguely threatening her if she goes against a trade agreement he has proposed. His bodyguard is watching over them calmly.
After the meeting with Rei Marin the group retire to Wu Chan Li's room to deliberate. When Kid gains conciousness he states that he cannot explain why he attacked them. They are trying to work this out when a noise outside gets their attention. Kid immediately tries to hinder the group from leaving the room. However he is too slow and Decious slips past him closely followed by Adoni. Kid runs after them sword at the ready while Storm and Wu Chan Li follow behind. They find Retri Vorn racing down the corridors heading for a window. Decious tackles him but is then assaulted by Kid. Adoni gets Book to subdue Kid yet again and orders Decious to let Retri go. Retri continues his run and jumps out of the window to the ground two stories down.
The group watches in amazement as he transforms into a wolf and runs for the forest. Casting featherfall on various members of the group they jump out the window after him and Decious tracks him to the woods. Riding Book Adoni reaches the trees first and is surprised when Retri ambushes him tearing a hole in his sleeve. He then bounds towards the group attacking Wu Chan Li next. The group fall on him in an effort to save their friend. Storm even leaps onto his back to cast shocking grasp. The fight is long but eventually Retri throws them and, jumping over Kid runs away. The group loose his footprints amongst the wolves that roam this wood.
The next morning the group split up again. Decious and Kid follow the wolf tracks to the wall of the mansion. Storm and Wu Chan Li go to find out more about werewolves, researching in the local library. Adoni goes to court to talk to the nobles about Retri's condition. Iontu denies knowing the man was so afflicted.
Later that afternoon Kid attempts to meet with Wu Chan Li alone but Adoni is suspicious asking Book to guard him. His foresight is rewarded when Kid attempts to attack Wu Chan Li. Book immediately pins Kid who will not stop trying to reach Wu Chan Li. Forced to knock him out again the group tie him to the bed and debate what to do.
Storm casts detect magic and concludes that he seems to be under some spell. They call on the help of Tren to disspell him and inform Erichiro of their suspicions. Upon hearing of the werewolf he gives them the power to hunt the man to bring him to justice.
The group silver their weapons in preparation for the battle ahead and Adoni asks the local clerics to bless some water for him and also tries to locate some protection against being dominated. Ready, the group start to plan how to enter the mansion.
However they are called to a meeting with Dran who says that Retri has been spotted in the woods. He asks them to aid him in capturing the man so that he may be put on trial. Leaving Kid to the adminisatrations of Tren, the rest of the group head for the forest. Following tracks Decious is the first to find a clearing filled with wolves. There are three asfar as he can tell and the fight starts as the first launches itself off a rock onto him.
Two more show up during the fighting. The fight is short but brutal and both Wu chan Li and Storm take quite a bit of damage. Having disabled the wolves the group quickly find that their attackers are werewolves but that none of them are Retri.
They fetch a guard to take the prisoners back to town. Finging a healer they then ready themselves and Kid to enter Iontu's mansion.
