Rendal left his Romani family to explore a greater part of Tintaria. However he was caught and imprisoned in Venutia by a dragon cult. Falling ill he was not fit to be feed to the dragon however during his rescue he suffered injuries that resulted in his death. A strong desire to live kept him from passing on.

Now 'living' as a ghost his form is tied to a small box of his possesions that was entrusted to the group so that should they find his family he could be returned to them. Not in too much of a hurry though he has no problem helping out as extra security at their complex.
