Barefoot doctors occur across the bredth of Tintar, giving healing to those who cannot afford to pay for the more expensive magics of the cities. Trained in holistic medicines by a mentor with whom the apprentice travels for many years; there is no formal structure to this organisation though most older masters can locate and name the majority of their members.
